Foundation for Biosanitary Research in Asturias, Spain

The Foundation for Biosanitary Research in Asturias (FINBA) is a non-profit organization sited in Asturias, north of Spain. Its mission is to promote, support, manage and disseminate research, scientific and technological development and biomedical innovation through the realization of national and international research projects. FINBA seeks to ensure ethics in biosanitary research, as well as the improvement of society’s health and interest in scientific investigation. It is also the managing body of the Institute for Health Research of the Principality of Asturias (ISPA), which carries out multidisciplinary research activities and has innovative lines for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases. It is formed by 50 research groups covering 8 research areas (6 vertical and 2 transversal), one of them being cancer.

Adonina Tardón García is a Professor and Director of the Area of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Oviedo and Health Research Institute of Asturias, ISPA Asturias. Is the Principal Investigator of the Environmental Epidemiology Group of the Spanish Consortium for Research on Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP), Spain, and Principal investigator of Studio CAPUA Asturias, COHORTE INMA Asturias, ORCHESTRA UNIOVI and Cancer Prevention at Work (WP2).

Prof. Adonina Tardón García

Marta María Rodriguez Suarez is an Occupational health HUCA. Is currently a researcher at the Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation of Asturias (FINBA); Environmental and Molecular Epidemiology of Cancer; Physician of Prevention Occupational Risk at the Central University Hospital of Asturias(HUCA). Head of Studies of the Multidisciplinary Occupational Health Unit of the Principality of Asturias. Associate Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Oviedo. Has held the positions of Head of the Occupational Health Service at the IAPRL, and Medical specialist in Occupational Medicine in the Planning and Programming Area of the Public Administration of the Principality of Asturias. Counts with a Degree related to Occupational Medicine, is a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oviedo "cum laudem" unanimously (2011). Is Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) in the specialities of Industrial Hygiene, Safety at Work, Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology and Chief Auditor in ORP. Certified by the International Register of Auditors. Currently publications ID Orcid 0000-0003-0835-5837.

Marta María Rodriguez Suarez

Guillermo Fernandez-Tardon, Researcher at the Health Research Institute of Investigation of Asturias (ISPA) and Spanish Consortium for Research on Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP). Is a graduate in human nutrition and dietetics and a doctor in public health. He is an expert in epidemiology and new technologies and has a master's degree in epidemiology and sports nutrition.
