About the project
Introduction
The Cancer Prevention at Work (CPW) project is a Horizon Europe Mission Cancer action, researching the cost effectiveness and social acceptance of incorporating prevention of cancers associated with Helicobacter pylori, Hepatitis C virus and Human Papillomavirus into ongoing primary occupational health surveillance programmes.
Our pillars
The scientific and medical methodologies employed will rely on three key fundamental framework pillars.
Stakeholder Engagement
We are involving local, national and EU-level stakeholders, including workers and their families, policymakers, occupational health organizations, health authorities, companies and workers’ representatives, and cancer and patient organisations, among others, to identify the best strategies to increase the adherence of population of workers in screening programs of infection-related cancers.
Inter-disciplinarity
We leverage on an interdisciplinary consortium that brings together scientific excellence for addressing the medical, societal, behavioural, economic and policy aspects that impact our research.
Open Science
The knowledge, data and tools generated by the project will be shared in Open Access and adapted to various formats to address the needs of the different stakeholders.
