F.D. Roosevelt Teaching Hospital with Policlinic Banska Bystric, Slovakia

The FDRH | F.D. Roosevelt Teaching Hospital with Policlinic Banska Bystric is one of the largest hospitals in Slovakia, operating in a region with 650 thousand inhabitants. It offers complex health care as an endpoint hospital for the catchment area of the Banska Bystrica city, Banska Bystrica Self-Governing region and the entire Slovak Republic providing services for inpatients in 34 specialized departments, 86 outpatients and in 10 specialized centres.

Yearly, FDRH serves medical service to as many as half a million patients with around 40 thousand hospitalizations. It counts on about 2 500 employees (from that: 400 physicians, 1 500 other medical staff) and almost 1 000 beds.

Academic Field: a teaching base of Slovak Medical University.

Close cooperation: Matej Bel University in B. Bystrica, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

Member of several organizations such as ECRIN, EPMA, ESRA, ICHOM, etc.

FDRH is ISO certified for research and development.

Viktória Ďurajová, is Project Manager for R&D at FDRH. Her work includes the analysis of the potential for Research and Development in the hospital/ medical and health care; networking, cooperation; local and international fields for R&D in the medical branches; project management; preparation, coordination, implementation, evidence and control of research and educational projects - management of training centre in the hospital.

Róbert Vilček, is the Head of the Department of Clinical Occupational Medicine and Clinical Toxicology, a member of the National Commission for the Assessment of Occupational Diseases at the Ministry of Health and several Regional Commissions, and is actively participating in conferences. His field is focused on occupational medicine publications in the area of occupational medicine. Counts on 42-year experience, including managerial skills and managerial experience as a head of the department.
