The University of Turin (UniTO) is one of the most ancient and prestigious Italian Universities. It has about 70.000 students, 4.000 academic, administrative and technical staff, and 1800 post-graduate and post-doctoral students. It is open to an international perspective both in the field of research and training. It carries out scientific research and organizes courses in almost all disciplines.

UniTO has a remarkable tradition of research in traditional subjects such as history, philosophy, law, economics and medicine but it is actually branching out into modern and important sectors, such as food science, social politics, IT, performing arts and communication sciences.

UniTO joined the CPW project as an occupational medicine from the University Department of Sciences of Public Health and Pediatrics. The team is led by the Full Professor of Occupational Medicine (Enrico Pira) and consists of researchers and resident physicians.

Enrico Pira is a Full Professor of Occupational Medicine at the University of Turin since 2003. He is the Director of the Occupational Medicine - Occupational Risk of the University-Hospital of the City of Health and Science of Turin. He is the Director of the School of Specialization in Occupational Medicine at the University of Turin. Is an expert in Epidemiology and Oncological Prevention in Piedmont. He is the author of more than 250 scientific papers published in national and international journals, mainly on the subject of epidemiology and occupational oncology due to asbestos and aromatic amines.

Prof. Enrico Pira

Dr Alessandro Godono is an occupational physician who graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Torino, Italy, in 2017. Since 2022, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sciences of Public Health and Paediatrics of the University of Torino. He developed a relevant clinical background by working for more than a year in a high-intensity ward during the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequently engaging in vaccination and counselling activities. Dr Godono's main research and clinical interests are in the epidemiological and occupational fields with a special focus on occupational cancers and health prevention and promotion in the workplace. He has authored and co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in international journals.

Dr Alessandro Godono

Dr Vittoria De Pasquale graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Torino in 2021. Since November 2021 she is a resident physician in Occupational Medicine at the University of Torino. She is currently working at CTO Hospital of Turin and P.O. Ferrero Hospital of Verduno managing health promotion programs. Dr De Pasquale's main research and clinical interests are in the Total Worker Health programs and health surveillance optimization.

Dr Vittoria De Pasquale

Dr Elisa Carena graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Torino in 2015. Since January 2021 she is a Resident Physician in Occupational Medicine at the University of Torino. She is currently running the workplace bullying and harassment clinic at CTO Hospital in Turin. Dr Carena's main research and clinical interests are in promoting a Total Worker Health approach. She is currently working in workplace health promotion programs in local industries.
